Integrated Library and Customer Service at Kew Library

You can benefit from a combined customer and library service in Kew.

Pay Council rates and other accounts, borrow library books and other materials and make enquiries on Council services all in the one place.

In line with the existing library opening hours, customer service is available seven days a week.

The extended at Kew library service operates:

Monday                10am - 6pm
Tuesday               10am - 9pm
Wednesday           10am - 6pm
Thursday              10am - 9pm
Friday                  10am - 6pm
Saturday              10am - 5pm
Sunday                  2pm - 5pm

Kew library cashiering service
You can pay rates and other council accounts at the Kew library during the following times.

Monday - Friday     10am-3:30pm
Saturday               10am-5 pm


Please note:
The Kew library can take payments outside the cashiering hours provided payments are not overdue and all relevant paperwork is supplied.


All library users have the convenience of paying Council invoices by cheque without waiting to be served by using the ‘drop boxes’ that are available in prominent locations within all libraries in Boroondara.

Boroondara Transfer Station
648 Riversdale Road, Camberwell VIC 3124

Household waste, general waste (such as disused household appliances) and green waste can be disposed of at the Boroondara Transfer Station (charges apply).

Hours of operation

For all types of waste:
Monday to Friday             1pm - 4pm
Saturday                        8am - 4pm

For green waste and recyclables only:
Sunday                          8am - 4pm

Public holidays:
The Boroondara Transfer Station is closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Years Day public holidays.
