Programs and playgroups are available to provide you with support you need to look after your baby
Early parenting day stay program
The City of Boroondara, in partnership with the O'Connell Family Centre, provides this program on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.
The program is for babies aged from six weeks to six months and their parents.
Families attend for a whole day to focus on the parent child relationship.
Information and support is provided to assist to improve the babies sleep settling routine and feeding patterns.

Enhanced home visiting
This is an out-each program for families who are experiencing early parenting difficulties.
The program can provide intense support and be valuable for:
- babies with feeding and settling problems
- vulnerable women including young mothers and women with post natal depression
- families in crisis and parents with health concerns.

Playgroups
Playgroups provide parents and caregivers with the opportunity to meet new people, gain support and exchange parenting ideas.
Playgroups are low cost, run by the families attending and usually meet locally.
