Maternal and child health
Being a new parent can be wonderful - or daunting! Council's infant and child assistance will help you through.
Our Maternal and Child Health Service is free and available to all families.
The service provides health and developmental checks for your child at 10 key stages from birth to four years old.
We also provide consultations designed specifically for families with additional needs and first time parents, including new parent groups.
Download the Maternal and Child Health Centres information sheet to find a location near you.
For further information or bookings, contact the Maternal and Child Central Booking Service on 9278 4606.
24-hour telephone advice line
Phone 13 22 29 for 24-hour, seven days a week advice from maternal and child health nurses - a Victorian government service. It is especially helpful providing information and support after normal business hours.
But, it is not an emergency service. If your child is unwell contact your doctor or local hospital.
