Private bookings

The Kew Traffic School is available for private hire including birthday parties, school break-ups or community group fundraisers.

All weekends are booked out until January 2013

Friday sessions are filling fast, but there are plenty of Monday to Thursday sessions available.

Kew Traffic School is suitable for children between the ages of 3 to 10 years.
Bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance.

Fundraising community groups

Community groups holding an annual fundraising event are able to apply to hire the facility for a private booking at a specially discounted rate of $105.00 for any session time as outlined above. This rate will increase to $110.00 from 1 July 2012.

Community groups must meet the following criteria:

be located within Boroondara
be a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation
be holding an annual fundraising event for the organisation.

A written request with a brief description of the fundraiser event must be provided on the organisation's official letterhead and signed by a committee member, then emailed or mailed as follows:

Kew Traffic School facilities

The track is suitable for:

bikes
scooters
ride-on cars.

The facility includes:

traffic lights, road signs and pedestrian crossings on track
electronic BBQ (to be left clean for following users)
covered pergola with fixed table (to be left clean for next booking)
picnic tables and chairs within the grounds
outside drinking fountain
girls and boys toilets
recycle and rubbish bins (please use)
many shaded grass areas
large car park.

Cinema shed facilities:

microwave
kettle
fridge.

Facility does not:

supply bikes and helmets
have lights within the grounds
supply a party leader
have access to cubbies within the grounds
supply a first aid kit
have access to storeroom and classroom
supply BBQ utensils or cleaning equipment.

Payment:

Full payment of the booking is required within two weeks from the booking.
Refunds are not available, however if a booking is cancelled due to poor weather, an alternative booking will be offered.
Payments can be made by credit card or cheque by downloading and printing a credit card and cheque payment form specifically for Kew Traffic School private bookings, and returned via post or fax.
Alternatively, you can forward a cheque made payable to City of Boroondara, to Kew Traffic School, City of Boroondara, Private Bag 1, Camberwell VIC 3124.

Keys:

Keys are available to be collected Monday to Friday, from City of Boroondara, Hawthorn Office, 360 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, on the day of the booking.
Keys must be collected before 3pm Friday afternoon for any bookings on Saturday and Sunday.
Keys can be returned either to the external hours letter drop at the front entrance of the Hawthorn Office, or delivered to the Hawthorn Office reception the following working day.
