Project overview:

The Boroondara Tennis Centre (BTC) building will be updated to better cater for increasing tennis demand and operational efficiencies.

The BTC project will involve:

enlarged foyer, reception and cafe areas
increase the size of the change facilities for men
new coaches room
additional office and storage space
improved landscaping works.

Estimated cost: $765,000

Construction:

The construction contract was awarded to Adam Wood Group at the 19 April 2010 Council Meeting.

Estimated start date: May 2010

Estimated end date: August 2010

During construction:

It is anticipated that there will be minimal impact to the operations at BTC during the redevelopment works. The reception and cafe area will be relocated within the existing building and a temporary crèche will be established near the car park area during the works. The courts and tennis shop are not expected to be affected throughout the redevelopment.
