Paralympic Talent Search – Australian Paralympic Committee

The Australian Paralympic Committee will be holding a Toyota Paralympic Talent Search in Footscray on Sunday the 4 December for all athletes with a physical, vision or intellectual disability.

Walk in the Park

Blind Sports Victoria and Parks Victoria invite you to the launch of the ‘Walk in the Park Program’.

This Program trains volunteers to assist people who are blind or vision impaired to visit and explore parks around Melbourne. Volunteers provide guided walks and companionship, so program participants get the most out of their park experience while enjoying the great outdoors.

Disability sport taken to the extreme!

The Department of Disability Sport and Recreation is taking disability sport to the extreme when it introduces the first ever multi-adrenalin raising sports program for Victorians with disabilities. A total of four exhilarating activities will be available, including skydiving, surfing, skiing and kayaking.

The program is open to all levels of ability and participants can register for the series of four events or register for individual events only.

Wheelchair basketball

This program encourages people with disabilities to get actively involved in wheelchair basketball by providing access to accredited coaches and sports equipment in a fun and positive social environment.
