The Community Profile website contains information about the population of Boroondara and its 12 suburbs. The profile is based on the Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, last conducted in 2011.

This tool presents population, household and dwelling forecasts for the City of Boroondara and each of its 12 suburbs. Boroondara's population is estimated to increase by around 12,000 people between 2012 and 2022, with the most rapid growth in the 60 to 84 year age group and lone person and couple only households. Forecasts are available for each year from 2006 to 2031.
