Hays Paddock Plan

Council is facilitating the development of this plan, a park management plan for Hays Paddock, on Longstaff Street, Kew East.

Public Consultation and Feedback Sheet

Dear Community Member,

In mid-2010, Council resolved to prepare a new plan for Hays Paddock. At the time Council distributed a survey seeking feedback in appropriate objectives, uses and suggestions for improvement.

As part of the process, Expressions of Interest were sought from members of the public and user groups of Hays Paddock to form a Steering Committee to help develop the preparation of the "Hays Paddock Plan."  The Plan has been developed by the Landscape Architects, Formium, in conjunction with the Steering Committee and Council Officers.

Council endorsed the final Hays Paddock Plan in November 2011.

The Plan provides key objectives for the ongoing management and development of Hays Paddock. It addresses issues such as formal and informal sporting activities, biodiversity values, buildings, access, park infrastructure, current conditions and future development, general amenity, sustainability and the character of Hays Paddock.

The complete Hays Paddock Plan is an extremely large document and has been divided into sections for easy reading - the Introduction, Existing Uses and Conditions Review, the Landscape Plan and References. Copies of the report are available for review at Council Offices and Libraries, or on request by contacting Parks and Gardens - phone 9278 4595.

If you have any queries or require further information please call Parks and Gardens on 9278 4595.
