Annual grants

Annual Grants provide funding of up to $10,000 to community organisations, groups and clubs.

Annual Grants provide funding to community organisations and groups for one-off projects and equipment purchases that support community-building initiatives and improve the quality of life of Boroondara residents.

The funding for Annual Grants comes from Council as well as Balwyn Rotary Club who donate a significant amount of the yearly income from their Camberwell Sunday Market. The total funding for 2011 Annual Grants program is $296,000.

The Annual Grants are split into three streams:

Community projects

Funding for short-term, one-off, innovative projects that address annual priorities and can be completed within 12 months.

Minor equipment

Funding for the purchase of equipment  integral to the success of a community or cultural project or improves the operational sustainability of the organisation.

New and emerging groups

Funding for support smaller scale projects, events and operating costs for organisations that have been in existence for less than two years.
