Do you need assistance with walking?
Do you require the use of a motorised mobility device to get around the community?
The City of Boroondara in partnership with Inner East Community Health Service and Scooters Australia are holding free Come 'n' Try workshops at Kew Traffic School.
Participants will test drive, receive information and advice and gain a greater understanding of motorised scooters and/or electric wheelchairs.
Participants will be introduced to the SWAT (Scooter and Wheelchair Access Team) team leader and be encouraged to join. SWAT advocates for people with mobility issues to have greater access and inclusion into thier own community.
The Safer Scooter Wiser Wheelchair (SSWW) safety and education program is available for particpants to enrol in or be referred to.
Workshops are from 9am to 12pm. Bookings essential.
