All workshops are free for Boroondara residents and are led by experienced presenters. They include practical tips, demonstrations and some involve hands-on activities. Delicious organic refreshments and incentives or a door prize are provided at all Living for our Future workshops.
Staff from the Boroondara Library Service come to some workshops with a selection of relevant books so bring your library card.
The Living for our Future program is also happy to support Council's Parks and Gardens Spring Walk and Talk program and Sustainable Transport courses.

We are on a journey to transform our homes and city to embrace 'water sensitive urban design'. In this workshop you will learn about the urban water cycle, and the variety of practical options for capturing and reusing rain and stormwater safely and effectively on your property. The benefits of sensitively managing water on your lot are extensive: you can create a more lush and sustainable garden, a cooler and more comfortable home in summer, foster local biodiversity and support the health of water bodies, including local creeks, the Yarra River and even Port Phillip Bay.
