Walking and cycling
- Boroondara Sports Complex is located in Gordon Barnard Reserve and there are excellent walking routes in the area, particularly linking several parks in an east-west direction.
- Balwyn Road, Greythorn Road and Union Road have dedicated bike lanes, which helps to link other cycling routes like the Koonung Trail beside the Eastern Freeway.
- A series of informal on road bike routes are the Boroondara Sports Complex, which are shown on the map on the next page.

City – Doncaster Shoppingtown (Route 201)
This bus stops in front of the Boroondara Sports Complex.
Kew East – Box Hill Central (Route 202)
This bus stops in front of the Boroondara Sports Complex.
City – Box Hill Central (Route 302)
This bus stops in front of the Boroondara Sports Complex.
Doncaster Shoppingtown – Camberwell (Route 285)
Get off this bus at the corner of Balwyn and Belmore roads and walk for a few minutes down Belmore Road.
Doncaster Shoppingtown – Box Hill Central (Route 284)
Get off this bus at the corner of Greythorn and Belmore roads and walk for about 12 minutes down Belmore Road.
Trams 24 & 48
These trams terminate at the corner of Balwyn and Doncaster roads. From there, the Boroondara Sports Complex is a 15 minute walk down Balwyn Road and then through Gordon Barnard Reserve.
