Celebrating diversity
There are many people living in Boroondara who celebrate different holidays and festivals - it's good to be aware of them.
Like much of metropolitan Melbourne, we have developed an increasingly multicultural population.
We have about 39,000 residents who were born overseas.
This diversity has enriched our community with a wide array of cultural backgrounds, languages and religions - this is seen in many holidays and festivals which we have not been aware of in years past.

Cultural diversity plan
Our Cultural Diversity Plan 2009-13 provides the overarching priorities and strategic direction for how we will respond to cultural diversity within the Boroondara community over the next four years.
