Across Victoria public art galleries invite everyone to Get into Art! on 24 and 25 October.

A wide range of free activities and free exhibitions encourage visitors of all ages to check out, over 40 public galleries in metropolitan and regional Victoria.

Town Hall Gallery will celebrate Get into Art! from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday 24 October with the following activities:

Colour your Collection from 12.30pm to 4.30pm at the gallery where visitors young and old can interpret images of our collection works in new and innovative ways! Images will be added to our blog throughout the day.

Curator of the Town Hall Gallery Mardi Nowak said this is a fantastic opportunity to see what your local gallery has to offer.

"Many people think that we are stuffy exhibition spaces but in fact we have a wide range of activities on offer during the year as well as a diverse range of exhibitions for everyone," Ms Nowak said.

Get into Art!  is an annual event organised by the Public Art Galleries Association of Victoria, which represents and supports 46 galleries across Victoria.
