Lost and stray dogs and cats
Any dogs and cats found at large will be taken to the Council Pound located at 36 Weir Street Glen Iris.
The animals will be held for a period of eight days as prescribed by the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animal Act.
All owners whose animal is missing are encouraged to contact the pound on (03) 9824 7928 or 0418 389 810, or other animal welfare organisations in an attempt to locate their lost animals.
A release fee will be charged to reclaim your animal and any unregistered animals will be required to be registered before they will be released.
Council will make every effort to reunite lost animals with their owners.
