Shopping Centres

The following centres have active Trader Associations funded through a Promotions and Marketing Levy paid by all traders in the Centre.

Ashburton
Ashburton Shopping Centre is one of Boroondara’s most dynamic and diverse neighbourhood centres.

Friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, a wide variety of shops including top quality fresh food and gourmet delis, combine to make Ashburton a favourite shopping destination. Plentiful parking directly behind the High Street shops means you don’t have to carry heavy shopping bags for miles.

Balwyn
The Balwyn Shopping Centre, along Whitehorse Road at the intersection with Balwyn Road, is one of the top five activity centres in Boroondara. It is a centre that offers a broad range of retail, commercial and community based services.

Burwood Village
Burwood Village has the convenience of having branches of all the major banks located in the centre. There is also a wide range of retailers in the centre ready to meet your every need. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the businesses. Enter from Toorak Road to Fairview Ave, Melton Ave or Myrniong St.

Camberwell
For over 160 years the Camberwell Shopping precinct has offered stylish street shopping. There are now over 400 businesses including Target, Safeway, a traditional fresh food market, antique stores, professional services, major chain stores and unique retailers, a vibrant café and restaurant scene and the recently renovated art deco Rivoli cinemas.

Glenferrie Road
You’ll find almost anything on Glenferrie Road Hawthorn, from urban wear clothing, popular amongst the large student population, to more sophisticated clothing and school wear. There is also a wide range of gourmet and fresh produce speciality shops and a Coles and Safeway Supermarket.  Glenferrie Road has an active night life with great international restaurants and two nightclubs. Glenferrie Road is a one stop shopping strip with gift and homewares beauty salons, hairdressers and conveniences such as travel agents, real estate agents and all major banks.

Get to Glenferrie Road Hawthorn by car - there is ample parking - or by tram and train which take you to the heart of this precinct.

Greythorn
Come to Greythorn shopping centre to see the bold life size sculptures representing local characters in the centre – a lollypop lady, fireman and Dalmatian, a baker and of course a shopper. Greythorn is a centre for the local community.

Kew Junction
Cosmopolitan cafes and restaurants are a feature of Kew Junction Shopping Centre whilst everyday needs are met by high quality fresh food shops and a number of service businesses.

There is plenty of parking tucked away right behind the High Street and Cotham Road shops.

Maling Road
A stroll down Maling Road provides is a relaxing yet stimulating experience with over fifty shops restored to their original Edwardian style in a village setting. Presentation, personalised service, individual and hand-made quality and attention to detail are the features of this unique street.

North Balwyn Village
The North Balwyn Village has an award winning mix of specialty shops to satisfy all your retail therapy needs. Our gourmet deli will tantalise your taste buds, five clothing stores with big name labels and don't forget Danielle’s for ladies' fashion shoes. You will never have a bad hair day again with three salons to choose from and all your convenience needs taken care of with an Amcal chemist, newsagent, two banks, post office and three real estate agents. The list goes on with a traditional butcher, liquor supplies and a boutique nursery/florist. So make a day of it and come over to one of Melbourne's best kept secrets.
