Council’s ward boundaries are currently under review by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC), at the request of the Minister for Local Government.

The review aims to ensure all voters are represented in a fair and equitable way at the next Council election, due to be held in October this year.

The VEC will release a preliminary report, with proposed options to revise Council’s ward boundaries, on Wednesday 28 February 2024. Once released, you will be invited to share your views on their report findings and the proposed ward boundaries, including how well they represent our community.
Submissions will close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday 20 March 2024.

You can also ask to share your views at the online public hearing session at 10:00 am on Tuesday 26 March 2024.

At the end of the review, the VEC will make a final recommendation to the Minister for Local Government. Any changes to the ward boundaries following this review will apply to next Council election.
